First of all, thank you to everyone that wished me Happy Birthday over at Studio Calico and on Facebook. I really had a great day. I took a vacation day and scrapped for a few hours. I managed to get 3 layouts done, which is really good for me. You may remember where I recently blogged about what a SLOW scrapbooker I am. So...3 layouts in a day, yay me!
l finally broke into my "On the Easel" kit and add-ons. The soft colors are perfect for spring, Easter and vintage photos. I especially love this one I did of Alyssa with pictures from far too many years ago than I care to admit. I love these photos of her and the Sassafras papers were perfect for them. I love the Jenni Bowlin butterflies that have been coming in the kits too. I can't seem to quit using them on every page I do.
Next I did a fun layout about my spoiled pooches. I am in LOVE with the Studio Calico exclusive polaroid stamp that I used on this page. I can see using it on a lot of future projects.
Last but not least, a layout recognizing Wyatt's accomplishment of earning his black belt in mixed martial arts about a year ago. He worked many years to reach his goal and I'm really proud of him!
I have a few more pages planned for this kit that I will eventually get to, hopefully sooner, than later. But, I got 3 done today, not bad for a day of vacation, right?!
