School started here yesterday so I snapped my usual first day of school photo and sent the kids on their way. I was a little sad when I realized I only have one more year to do this with them together and then my son will be going to college. sniff, sniff.
It is times like these that I get sentimental and pull out older photos to scrap, like this one of my daughter in the 5th grade...taken five years ago!
All supplies are from the Noel Mignon West Coast kit. For the background I cut apart the Studio Calico Heyday journaling paper then layered and stitched them down before adding my photo and embellishments.
I wanted to make sure I included the gorgeous pink doily from the kit so I used it as the background for my title.
Using my Silhouette Cameo I cut a small butterfly out of the center of one of the pieces of paper and backed it with the pink polka dot washi tape and a brad from the kit.
I'm so happy with how this came together, one of my faster layouts in a while too! Best part, I have the cute photo of my daughter back from her braces days in an album to enjoy! :)
So what about you...is school in session or do you have a few more days/weeks to enjoy with the kids at home?
