A few weeks ago we took the kids to their very first Drive-In. They had the old signs, speakers, and screens complete with the original footage that you used to see before the movies started playing. It was definitely a step back in time. Of course, I had to use my Hipstamatic app to take some old film style photos of our adventure.
It didn't take me long to get them printed out when I saw the Sassafras Sunshine Broadcast papers in the August Scrapbook Circle kit. I knew they would be perfect for the drive-in photos. It is a great vintage look to go with the photos and theme.
The kits has more than one sheet from the Sunshine Broadcast line so I didn't stop with one and cranked out this one about 10 things I loved the day I made the layout. The self-portraits on this layout were also taken with the Hipstamatic app.
If you love Hipstamatic too there is a handy online guide that shows an example photo of every possible combination of lens, film and flash at Photojojo. Use the arrows at the right/left side of the page to scroll for more combinations. It can come in pretty handy when you are going to a certain look.
If you are using Hipstamatic (or Instagram) make sure to print some of those photos and get them on a layout and into your albums. It is definitely a fun way to mix it up!
One last thing before I go...
My baby is 16 today! Happy Birthday, Wyatt! I hope you have a fabulous day!
That's it! Thanks for swinging by everyone! Now, go shoot some pictures with a fun app on your phone, print them out and scrap them. Shake it up a bit!
