It is a fun month at write. click. scrapbook. We are celebrating our Birthday, a new gallery full of layouts that were inspired by something at our site over the last year, a blog hop and 3 tips.
First things first...here is my layout for the gallery. I was inspired by a layout that Amy Coose shared that had stitching around the photo. I love how it drew the eye in. My stitching is more subtle due to the color scheme, but I like how it turned out.
This layout is a little different for me with the vellum layer with sequin behind it. I also worked a piece of flair into the design of an embellishment and my sub-title. The flair says "sweet girl" and is from {a flair for buttons}.
We thought it would be fun to share 3 tips, one for each word in our title, write. click. scrapbook.
Here are my 3 tips:
- Write - My favorite technique for journaling is using lists...it is a great way to include details without being too wordy
- Click - Take pictures of memorabilia to include on your layouts, like I did of the letter I included on this layout
- Scrapbook - Incorporate one old scrapbooking product on every layout. It makes me feel so good to be using things from my stash. The pink paper with the holes on this layout is a laser die-cut sheet from Basic Grey. It has probably been in my stash for 3 years.
If you are hopping with us, Katie Ehmann is the next designer on the hop.
