I'm not going to lie...I LOVE gold right now. I want to use it on ALL my layouts. Typically I think of gold mixed in with soft, pastel colors, but gold looks fabulous with bold and rich colors too! Just a small scattering of a few gold pieces along with the super sized burlap bow, made this layout for me.
To create the background of my layout, I dipped a brush into a bottle of pale yellow/gold mist and simply brushed it on. Super easy! I also added a few mist splatters in gold and teal before I started laying down my papers and embellishments.
The small gold stars rub-ons and sequin are by Jenni Bowlin.
This is a favorite photo of my daughter from our vacation in Cabo this past summer. I added it on top of a Fancy Pants envelope and placed the journaling inside. Since the photo was covering part of the closure, I placed a cork star, covered in embossing powder, on top of the photo and wrapped the tie around the star to secure the envelope closed.
The majority of supplies used on this layout are from Come On Get Crafty. Did you know that all orders $50.00 dollars or more are shipped for free in the U.S.? You can check it out, right here!
I'm sure you'll be seeing many more projects from me using gold, especially with the holidays approaching? What is your favorite color right now?
