Gossamer Blue December Guest Designer

Hi everyone! I'm so happy to share that I am the December Guest Designer for Gossamer Blue. The kits are beautiful and full of colors that will work with both fall, Christmas and everyday pages.

This first layout is made with the Main Kit only. I wanted to use the beautiful wood grain paper with the large words printed on the page, which makes a great start to a page.

It is a little hard to tell in the photo but to add a little more interest to the existing title, I added some Stickles glitter to some of the words.

I cut apart pieces of the Basic Grey banner and used them to frame small embellishments like the chipboard buttons.

On this next layout I used a combination of kits along with some embellishments in one of my most used shapes...stars!

I cut apart the Basic Grey star banner and mixed it in with rows of white stars for a pop of color.

This last layout features lots of papers and embellishments from the Christmas themed kits.

I cut the white frames using my Cameo and filled them with papers, stickers, stamps and tags.

Top Dog Dies Guest Designer

 

Hi everyone! I am so excited to share some projects that I made for Top Dog Dies. I had the opportunity to try out one of their branded steel-rule dies and a couple of their wafer-thin dies too. They have something for everyone...you can see all the options in their shop!

Here are the Top Dog Dies branded products I used on my projects.

Pocket Albums Steel-Rule die

Vintage Alpha Die

Christmas Tree Die

For this project, I cut down some pocket die shapes, keeping the scalloped edge to create a border for an over-sized photo.

I kept the edges a little uneven to create some movement to go along with the fun title.

I placed the title in the open space of my over-sized photo. I used the Vintage Alpha Die to highlight some of the words and used smaller letter stickers for the rest of the title.

For the journaling I typed some important details of my son's life right now and added them randomly along the bottom of the photo.

On this next layout, I used the Pocket Album Steel-Rule Die to create a grid on my layout.

I placed a couple of photos on two of the pockets (that's my honey and I on Santa's lap when we were kids) and filled in the rest with journaling, and Christmas themed embellishments.

I used the Vintage Alpha Dies for my title.

For my last project, I used the Christmas Tree Die to create a Christmas card.

Friday Night Lights

Last Friday night, I watched Wyatt play his very last high school football game. I had a lot of fun being down on the field taking photos of the action and snapped this one in the final minute as he looked on while his teammates tried to score.

I LOVE this shot and will scrap it as soon as I can look at it without tearing up anymore.

He left everything on the field that night and had an incredible game. I'm so proud of him. It was an emotional time at the end when all the parents met their senior boys out on the field for one last time. I'm REALLY going to miss this. Sniff, sniff.

I wanted to do a layout of our love of football in the "Friday Night Lights" since this has been a big part of our life the last couple years.

 

I used a photo I snapped of my hubby and I earlier in the season that really captured those bright "Friday Night Lights" shining across the field...perfect for this story.

Here are a few close-ups, that show in detail some confetti pockets I made using Crate Papers Maggie Holmes Flea Market photo overlays to layer behind my photo.

Frosty Festivities Blog Hop

For my project, I scrapped a photo of my sweet dog wearing reindeer antlers.He kind of reminds me of the little dog in "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" with the antlers on, lol.

I thought the big circle around the photo was a fun idea and could represent the things that I think he would be dreaming about and wishing for Christmas, things like, chasing squirrels, dog bones, belly rubs, fetching balls, etc.

Come On Get Crafty Goofballs layout

Hey everyone! I'm sharing a fun layout I made for the Come On Get Crafty blog using the Pink Paislee Hey Kid collection. My very favorite piece in the entire collection is the circle die cut patterned paper. I let the paper do all the work and simply added my own touches like machine stitching, ink splatters and a scattering of embellishments.

Here is my finished layout.

I backed each open circle with a piece of mustache transparency which was perfect for the theme of my layout. I also added some additional paper layers and embellishments to some of the circles.

In addition to the fun embellishments I used from the Hey Kid collection, I also added some flair, from {a flair for buttons}.

Happy Friday, everyone! I can hardly believe that my favorite month of the year has already come and gone and and it is now November. The close of October does bring the first day of November and a new write. click. scrapbook gallery.

The November theme is dreams. For my layout I documented my daughter's only wish when we went on vacation to Cabo this summer...to kiss a dolphin.
