Chickaniddy Date Night Layout Getting Hitched

Happy Friday, everyone! I'm up today with a Chickaniddy Crafts layout using the Date Night collection! My layout was inspired by the sketch over on the Chickaniddy blog today...my assignment was to take the sketch and change it up.

Here's what I came up with...

I was inspired by the three large strips of paper on the sketch but decided to change it up by using three geometric diamond borders in their place. I added diamond pieces trailing off from the border strips to soften the design up and also filled in some of empty diamonds spaces with the coordinating diamond stickers. For the long embellishment strip, I used flowers and flipped it vertically the length of the page, adding in coordinating words and that fabulous diamond ring. The soft colors and theme of the Date Night collection were a perfect match for this special vintage photo of my husband's parents when they were teenagers.

I absolutely love that diamond ring...it is a sticker from the sticker sheet. Love how it looks with string tied around it!
