I’m so excited to share our game room home décor today. It has been a work in progress, but at last it is finally done.
The idea started years ago with my husband’s Hot Wheels collection that we displayed in the game room. From there, it grew into a Route 66/old car theme with a Route 66 futon cover, an enlarged print of his old muscle car, and eventually a license plate border. It was cool, but it never felt complete without window treatments.
Then we moved, and it took us eight years before we got that license plate border back on the wall. But I didn't stop there, I made window treatments! Yes, I actually used my sewing machine the way it was intended to be used, on fabric, instead of just sewing on a layout! Ha ha!
I found lots of tutorials online for making fabric banners and ended up using one from V and Co.
We finished the room off with an old gas pump that was converted into a lamp. We talked about getting one for years and finally took the plunge and did it. I love it! It totally finishes off the room.
Now that the game room is complete, I also get to cross off one more item from my “43 Things” list. I really should move onto the paper organizing, de-cluttering, and selling things on ebay next, but that just doesn't seem like as much fun.
I wanted to remind you that Scrapbook Circle's 5 year anniversary celebration continues all month long. Don't forget to visit their blog every week to enter in all the give aways. I've really enjoyed reading all the comments for the vintage mini album that I'm giving away on their blog. If you haven't already entered for a chance to win, click here.
